What are UFOs?
Witnesses to the history of science and technology, the Unidentified Scientific Objects from the University's heritage collections are today mysteries whose function, use and even name have been forgotten!
This competition, open to all, is an opportunity to rediscover them and learn a little more about the history of science in past centuries.
Every two months or so, a new item is displayed in the window of the BU Sciences and BU Pharmacy lobbies: it's up to you to find out what it is!
An event organized by the Historical Heritage Department and the Common Documentation Service.
How to play?
- Discover these objects in the Science and Pharmacy BUs.
- Every week, to get you on your way, a new clue is revealed, on site, on the BU Instagram account and on the UM Collections website.
- When you've found it, drop a reply slip in the ballot box provided, or respond on Instagram.
- At the end, a draw will be made from all the correct answers to determine the winner, who will receive a small prize of his or her choice, including a ping-pong kit, water bottle, beach fouta...
