Borrow a PC for your year

To help you make the most of your studies, BU offers you the loan of a laptop* for the whole academic year, from September 8, 2025.

Loan period: until July 3, 2026
Where? At the reception desk of your BU
Conditions: reserved for students enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree at the University of Montpellier.
Please bring your student card with you when borrowing.

* PC or Chromebook

A Chromebook is a lightweight, fast laptop running Google's Chrome OS operating system.
It differs from PCs (Windows-based) and MACs (MacOS-based) in terms of functionality, and is primarily intended for online use. You won't be able to install Windows or Mac software.

Important information:

This computer is loaned to you for the duration of the academic year. It is your responsibility to use it in accordance with the IT charter that you accepted when you created your computer account at the UM.

The operation of this computer is your sole responsibility. The University cannot guarantee maintenance, nor can it take responsibility in the event of malfunction or breakdown. In the event of damage, you may be asked to return the computer.
We recommend that you regularly back up your documents and files on an external storage solution (USB key, hard disk, cloud, etc.).

Finally, we remind you that you must return this computer as soon as you no longer need it for your studies, at the latest by the return deadline indicated to you, so that other students who need it can benefit from this service.
