As part of the University of Montpellier’s Water Week, two complementary exhibitions invite you to explore the challenges and beauty of water—this precious and fragile resource—through original approaches, presented simultaneously at two separate venues.

In the Science Library, you’ll find the photography exhibition“Water: Challenges for the Future,” organized by the UNESCO ICIREWARD International Center in Montpellier, which combines photographs and videos by Mathieu Bourgarel ( The Lost Compass association). It highlights the climatic, environmental, political, and societal aspects of freshwater management, a major challenge of the 21st century.
