Photography exhibition: "Capturing Water in the City"
The UNESCO ICIREWARD International Center (Hydropolis, Facultyof Pharmacy) is hosting this traveling exhibition, designed by the Rés-EAUX association, the LAVUE laboratory (Architecture, City, Urban Planning, Environment – UMR 7218 CNRS) and scientific and associative contributors from Paris Nanterre University.
Through 35 photographs from the call for entries "Capturing Water in the City" (2025), researchers, students, professionals, and residents share their perspectives from around the world.
The exhibition explores three complementary dimensions: the often discreet presence of water in the urban landscape, the infrastructure and professions that ensure its circulation and management, and the cultural, social, and recreational practices it inspires, particularly in the context of climate change.
These images invite us to rethink the close ties—both visible and invisible—that bind the city, its inhabitants, and their water resources.
