Exposure - hot spots

As part of the Nuits de la lecture (Reading Nights ) program, the Bibliothèque Universitaire de Médecine-Nîmes is presenting an original exhibition devoted to acupuncture.

Conceived as a sensory experience, it is made up of posters of the human body, crossed by meridians and acupuncture points, freely illustrated by students of the University Diploma in Acupuncture at the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine.

By presenting their personal view of this age-old discipline, linked to traditional Chinese medicine, the students give an insight into the energetic and holistic dimension of acupuncture, to raise public awareness of this therapeutic practice, widely used in France and around the world.

The posters are accompanied by a selection of documents from the BU's special collection, including reference works, rare journals, proceedings from conferences on acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, and student papers testifying to the vitality of acupuncture teaching at the University of Montpellier.
