Exhibition – Key Issues

As part of the " Nuits de la lecture " event, the Nîmes University Medical Library is hosting a unique exhibition dedicated to acupuncture.

Designed as a sensory experience, it consists of posters of the human body, crisscrossed by meridians and acupuncture points, freely illustrated by students in the University Acupuncture Programs at the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine.

By presenting their personal interpretation of this ancient discipline, which is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, the students offer a visual and sensory experience of acupuncture’s energetic and holistic nature, with the aim of raising public awareness of this therapeutic practice, which is widely practiced in France and around the world.

The posters are accompanied by a selection of materials from the library’s specialized collection, including reference works, rare journals, conference proceedings on acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, as well as student projects that demonstrate the vitality of acupuncture education at the University of Montpellier.
