Final Stop for the Exhibition “La presse ancienne révélée”
The traveling exhibition “La presse ancienne révélée,” organized bythe association Occitanie Livre & Lecture, made its final stop at the Richter University Library in Montpellier from November 7 to December 9, 2016.

Since 2015, the exhibition has traveled to several cities to highlight the digitization of 76 historical regional and local publications from the Languedoc-Roussillon region dating from 1786 to 1944. The *Moniteur judiciaire du Midi* is thus being brought to light after decades in the archives of the Law and Economics Library.

Exhibition: "Old Newspapers Unveiled"

This exhibition, which combines physical exhibits with digital access, offers visitors the opportunity to explore both the history of the press and this remarkable regional project to preserve written heritage, while also providing a deeper understanding of the challenges involved in digitizing historical newspapers.

During the event, you’ll discover some treasures unearthed from old newspapers and preserved in various university libraries, and the exhibition will feature a variety of activities (screenings, quizzes and contests, student participation, and more).
