Requesting a document that cannot be found in the university libraries in Montpellier

The document you are looking for is not available in the University of Montpellier catalog; however, it can be requested from another library in France or elsewhere in the world through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. This service requires a fee and is available only to registered users (students and staff of the University of Montpellier, as well as external patrons).

Request a document

  • Use the form provided in the University of Montpellier catalog.
  • Click "Sign In."
  • Click on “Interlibrary Loan Request.”
  • Fill out one form per document requested and select the pickup library from the drop-down list.
  • You will be notified by email when the document arrives at the university library you selected as your pickup location (see timeframes below), and at that time you will receive a link to complete the online payment.
  • Go to the lending bank with your payment receipt to pick up your document.
  • To return it, you'll need to bring the document back to the same university library.

For faculty members and researchers, the costs associated with your interlibrary loan requests may be covered by the University of Montpellier’s research departments or laboratories, provided that the department or laboratory submits a list of authorized individuals: please check with your department or laboratory for more information.
