Obtaining a document that cannot be found in Montpellier's university libraries

The document you are looking for is not in the University of Montpellier catalog: it can therefore be requested from another library in France or elsewhere in the world via the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. This service is subject to a fee and is only available to registered users (students and staff of the University of Montpellier, external readers).

Request a document

  • Use the form provided in the University of Montpellier catalog.
  • Click on "Log in."
  • Click on "Interlibrary Loan Request."
  • Fill out one form per requested document and select the pickup library from the dropdown list.
  • You will be notified by email when the document arrives at the library you have chosen as your pickup location (see deadlines below), and you will then receive a link to make your payment online.
  • You go to the loan bank with your payment slip to collect your document.
  • To return it, you must bring the document back to the same library.
