Exhibition – listening to lines, tracing sounds
Restitution of Stéphane Clor's residency: graphic and video installation
As part of his artist residency at UM, musician and visual artist Stéphane Clor is presenting his work in partnership with the Faculty of Science in the form of an exhibition featuring sound mapping: an installation of his graphic scores and videos showcasing his musical works performed by the artist.
During several immersion periods throughout the academic year, Stéphane Clor met with teachers and researchers from various scientific disciplines to inspire and further his research into signs and an original musical language that functions according to its own mode of representation.
This artistic exploration was undertaken with university students through moments of sharing and sound and graphic creation combining art and science. From this emulsion, the artist presents an installation of his graphic scores and videos of his musical works, which he performs in various locations on the Triolet campus and in the botanical garden. Through this sound map, the artist also highlights different locations at the University of Montpellier.
