Exhibition – listening to the lines, tracing the sounds
Restitution of Stéphane Clor’s residency: graphic and video installation
As part of his artist residency at the UM, Stéphane Clor, musician and visual artist, is offering a restitution of his work in partnership with the Faculty of Sciences, in the form of an exhibition in the form of a sound map: an installation of his graphic scores and videos featuring his musical works performed by the artist.
During several immersion periods during the academic year, Stéphane Clor met with teachers and researchers from various scientific disciplines to inspire and deepen his research around signs and an original musical language operating according to its own mode of representation.
This work of artistic exploration was undertaken with the students of the university through moments of sharing and sound and graphic creation mixing art and science. From this emulsion, the artist offers an installation of his graphic scores and videos of his musical works that he performs in different places on the Triolet campus and the Jardin des Plantes. Through this sound mapping, the artist also highlights different places at the University of Montpellier.
