UM's BUs are recruiting students!
Apply for a student job at a BU of the University of Montpellier. You have until April 26 at 12 noon.
These job offers are aimed at students enrolled at the UM for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Who can benefit from student employment at BU?
A student employment contract allows you to reconcile your studies with your job as a student: you work on a campus, and can manage your time while giving priority to your studies. It's up to you to choose the profile that best matches your availability!
To apply, you must :
- be enrolled at the University of Montpellier for the 2024-2025 academic year
- be available without interruption from September or October 2024 to May or June 2025 (see offer details)
What for?
- Welcoming and informing users
- Loan and return documents and materials
- Help users use on-site services (public computer stations, copiers, group work rooms, etc.).
- Supervising reading rooms
- Organizing documents in the BU
- Equipping documents before they are made available in the BU
- Participate in monitoring BU usage (attendance counts, source surveys, statistical monitoring)
- Depending on locations and offers, take part in BU opening and closing operations with the help of regular and security staff.
- Participate in documentary projects on an ad hoc basis

Training in BU tools and services is provided after recruitment.

▶ WEEKLY DAY AND EVENINGS - 7 positions
Availability: open Monday to Friday
- 6 hours of daytime per week over 26 weeks
- and 10 hours a week during the day and evening, over 12 weeks (prior to exams, open until 9pm).

▶ SATURDAYS AND EVENINGS - 5 shifts
Quota: 9h every Saturday from 5/10 to 23/05 9h-19h (1h lunch break) + 2 evenings 18h45-21h per week for 12 weeks a year (before exams, open until 21h).

Shift pattern: the schedule provides for a 3-week rotation of 3 teams of 4 people. Each team works 2.5 evening shifts per week from 6.45pm to 10.30pm (2 x 3.45 hours one week, 3 x 3.45 hours the next) + one Sunday out of 3 from 10am to 7pm (8am and 1h lunch break).

General information :
Salary: based on the SMIC (minimum wage), increased according to the number of hours worked.
Type of contract: public-law contract with a trial period depending on the length of the contract, and without indemnity for early retirement.
