The Montpellier University Incubator: Initium
What is Initium?
Located at the Richter University Library, a lively place conducive to learning, Initium is an incubator for student entrepreneurs and recent graduates from the MUSE* area who have a project to start or take over a business. Project leaders meet there, exchange ideas, and welcome resource persons.

Documentary support
The Richter University Library assists project leaders with their documentary research by providing:
- Appointments with a librarian for assistance with a specific question
- Training sessions on request, individual or in groups
- Remote reference service: a librarian answers your questions online
- Online tools and databases: digital resources

The incubator's prime location within the Richter University Library provides easy access to the library's books and resources.
The Richter University Library provides project leaders with numerous spaces suitable for teamwork:
A co-working space
This space is designed to promote discussion, collaboration, and creativity. It features collaboration screens, modular furniture that can be adapted to different needs, and writable walls.
A space for socializing and relaxation
Project leaders can meet in the social area to relax, network with other incubatees, and find creative ideas in a different environment.
Meeting and training rooms available for reservation
- The Cabin: a room entirely dedicated to meetings between incubatees and external parties to ensure confidentiality.
- The Workshop: a space equipped with a video projector and furniture for group work sessions and training courses.
- The training room: a space that can be adapted to suit your needs, which can host conferences but also has several collaborative screens for group training sessions.
- A group work room: allows you to work collaboratively on a project, particularly with the collaborative screen, possibly with external individuals.
- A VIP room: for meetings with partners.
