Library services are adjusted throughout the year to align with the academic calendar. On this page, you’ll find all the important dates leading up to the start of the 2026 academic year.

Summer Closure

Closure of the university libraries and suspension of services: Friday, July 17, in the evening Wednesday, July 22, in the evening for the IUT Nîmes Library Friday, July 24 in the evening for the IUT Montpellier Library
Reopening on Monday, August 24

7:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Computer Equipment Loan

Last day to check out PCs and tablets (14-day loan period): Friday, June 19. Service resumes on Monday, August 24.
"PCs for My Year" is scheduled to resume on Thursday, July 3. The equipment will be ready for the start of the school year. Borrowing will resume on Monday, September 7.

Summer loan, unlimited

Borrow as many items as you like and keep them all summer long. Starting Monday, May 18, at the Science Library, and starting Monday, June1, at the other UM libraries (until the evening of Friday, July 17).
Return date: starting September 7

Temporary suspension of services

PEB – Interlibrary Loan
Request form available until June 26, then starting August 24.
Service to partners available until July 10, then starting August 24.
