You are a student / staff member at the University of Montpellier
You can borrow documents and/or consult them on site:
- in the libraries of establishments under agreement (Université Paul Valéry, Universités Nîmes et Perpignan, ENSCM, IRTS, IPT)
- in the network of associated libraries: department, UFR, laboratory or Faculty of Education libraries, under certain conditions.

Return your documents
You can return borrowed documents at the BU reception desk when the BU is open.
Return boxes are permanently available in front of the BU Sciences, Richter and Médecine UPM). Please note: due to the vigipirate "Urgence attentat" plan, return boxes are closed until further notice.
Please note: you are responsible for the resources and documents you borrow. Lost, stolen or damaged items must be replaced.

For users of the Université de Nîmes and the Université Paul Valéry Montpellier 3, use your student card.
For all others, you will receive a free reader's card at the BU reception desk, on presentation of the following documents:
- ID card
- Proof of school membership
- Proof of address less than 3 months old
For users of the University of Nîmes, you can use the UNîmes card.

To access the fixed computers, please contact your BU reception desk to create an account OR create your login and password online: log on to https://cead.umontpellier.fr/premieredemande and follow the instructions.
Once activated, this account will give you access to all public computers in the UM University Libraries for one year.

By presenting your external reader's card, you can borrow 10 documents for a period of 21 days.

BRING IN A DOCUMENT NOT FOUND IN MONTPELLIER'S UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES
The document you are looking for is not in the University of Montpellier catalog: it can therefore be requested from another library in France or elsewhere in the world, via the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. This service is subject to a fee and is only available to registered users (students and staff of the University of Montpellier, external readers).
