Borrow a document

You can borrow materials and/or read them on site:

• in the libraries of partner institutions (Paul Valéry University, the Universities of Nîmes and Perpignan, ENSCM, IRTS, IPT)
• within the network of affiliated libraries: departmental, academic unit, laboratory, or Faculty of Education libraries, subject to certain conditions.

* Excluding short-term loans: textbooks, manuals, exam preparation materials, etc.

Is the item you need already checked out, or would you like to request an item from one university library to another? You can use the interlibrary loan service.

Return of Your Documents

You can return your borrowed materials at the university library reception desk during library hours.

Return boxes are always available in front of the Science, Richter, and Medicine (UPM) libraries. Please note: Due to the “Terrorist Attack Emergency” (Vigipirate) plan, the return boxes are closed until further notice.

Please note: You are responsible for the resources and materials you borrow. Any item that is lost, stolen, or damaged must be replaced.

You can access the University's digital resources:

Viathe digital learning platform, under the "Libraries" tab:

• tens of thousands of digital books and magazines
• from online media
• specialized databases in all fields

You can borrow materials from the various university libraries, either on-site and/or to take home:

While on site, you have access to the library’s desktop computers.
These computers allow you to work on site, connect to the internet, and access the Office suite of software.

Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 University, ENSCM, Protestant Institute of Theology, IRTS, University of Nîmes (UN), University of Perpignan (UPVD)

Students at the University of Nîmes and Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 University should use their student ID cards.

For everyone else, you can get a free library card at the university library reception desk by presenting the following documents:

• ID card
  
• Proof of enrollment at the institution
• Proof of address issued within the last 3 months

For users at the University of Nîmes, you can use your UNîmes card.

Access to Desktop Computers

To access the desktop computers, please visit the front desk at your University Library to create an account , OR create your username and password online: go to https://cead.umontpellier.fr/premieredemande and follow the instructions.
Once activated, this account will give you access to all public computers at UM’s University Libraries for one year.
