Return of your documents

You can return your borrowed materials at the library service desk during library hours, and in the return boxes located outside the libraries outside of business hours (Science Library, Richter Library, and UPM Library). Please note: Due to the “Terrorist Attack Emergency” Vigipirate plan, the return boxes are closed until further notice.

Please note: You are responsible for any materials and documents you borrow. Any lost, stolen, or damaged items must be replaced.

Students at the University of Nîmes and Paul Valéry University Montpellier 3 should use their student ID cards.

For everyone else, you can get a free library card at the university library front desk by presenting the following documents:

Registration takes place at the information desk of any university library in the network and is valid for one year.
The process involves several steps:

  • Please go to the reception desk of a university library with the following documents:
    • ID card
    • Proof of address issued within the last 3 months
    • Proof of eligibility for readers eligible for free or half-price registration (see the table below for registration fees by status)
  • We will send you a link to the EsupPay online payment platform, depending on your status (see the table below for registration fees by status)
  • You will pay online via EsupPay and receive a payment confirmation receipt
  • Please bring your payment confirmation slip to the library front desk so we can issue your card

After requesting a (free) account to obtain your login credentials, you can access the library’s desktop computers. These allow you to work on-site, connect to the internet, and access Office software. Follow the guide : the process takes about 15 minutes.

AFTER REGISTERING, you can REQUEST A DOCUMENT THAT CANNOT BE FOUND IN THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES OF MONTPELLIER

The document you are looking for is not available in the University of Montpellier catalog; however, it can be requested from another library in France or elsewhere in the world through the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service. This service is subject to a fee and is available only to registered users (students and staff of the University of Montpellier, as well as external patrons).
